Our goal at West Ottawa Virtual Academy (WOVA) is to provide high quality educational programming for students seeking the flexibility of a virtual learning platform. While students at WOVA complete their coursework online, there are opportunities to supplement the instruction with face to face tutoring, class meetings, certain in-person electives/programs, and extracurricular activities. A benefit of students’ self-selected time and space in schoolwork grants unique opportunities to seek enrichment experiences that might otherwise be challenging to provide in a traditional school setting.
Since WOVA offers schools of choice, students who reside outside of the district may apply to our program and attend classes online. This may help provide students wanting to enroll in West Ottawa Public Schools, but have barriers with consistent transportation. Virtual courses are designed and taught by highly qualified teachers from West Ottawa Public Schools. Our online instructors create a supportive and welcoming environment with our district’s vision of preparing students to be College, Career, and Life Ready!
