MeetMr. Lemmon
Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher. In high school I participated in the L.E.A.D. program and then moved on to volunteer at Head Start while I earned a degree in education at Grand Valley State University. Since graduating I earned a Masters in Educational Leadership as well as an Educational Specialist in Leadership, both from Grand Valley State University. I also taught 3rd grade, middle school Social Studies courses, high school History and Economics, alternative high school Social Studies, and online high school Social Studies classes. In addition to those teaching positions I served as an Assistant Principal, in West Ottawa, at Harbor Lights Middle School. Through all of those opportunities I worked and was able to build great relationships with students, and their families, and I feel that is what is most important; the blending of content with human connection. I truly believe that the West Ottawa Public Schools and Waukazoo Elementary are places that combine those two areas seamlessly and create a school with a true FAMILY focus. I would love the opportunity to introduce you to our Waukazoo family and answer any questions you may have. I can be reached at (616)786-1800. Thank you. Samuel A. Lemmon, Ed.S.
