ElementaryWoodside Elementary School

Woodside Elementary provides many options and programs for all YK through fifth grade students. Woodside provides extended learning opportunities through an advanced math placement course in fifth grade and advanced language arts in grades 3rd through 5th grade. Woodside, also, offers after school transportation to the Boys & Girls Club of Holland.

MeetMr. Perez Chavez

Hello and welcome to Woodside Elementary! My name is Amado Pérez-Chávez, and I have been an educator for 28 years. Before I became an administrator, I proudly served as a classroom teacher. I spent twenty four years in the classroom, those experiences have foremost shaped my knowledge and passion for education. I began teaching directly after graduating with my bachelor’s degree from a university in México. Later, I obtained a master’s degree in teaching, as well as a bilingual endorsement, from Aquinas College. I also hold a degree in administration.

I am a firm believer that building strong relationships in school promotes a positive learning environment and leads to academic success. At Woodside Elementary we work hard to strengthen our relationships with students, parents, and community. I look forward to accomplishing many great things together!
