ElementaryPine Creek Elementary

Pine Creek Elementary provides many options and programs for all young kindergarten through fifth grade students. Pine Creek is unique in West Ottawa as it offers several early childhood programs. Currently, we offer two sections of GSRP preschool for students who are four years old and qualify for the program. We also have 2 sections of young kindergarten and a special education preschool classroom. There are extended learning opportunities through our after school camps during various times of the year and an advanced math placement course is available to fifth grade students. Additionally, we have after school transportation to the Boys & Girls Club of Holland.

MeetMrs. Rios

Hello and welcome to Pine Creek Elementary! My name is Jessica Rios. I attended West Ottawa for my entire K-12 education and I always knew that I wanted to become a teacher. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Hope College. After graduating from Hope, I returned to West Ottawa as a guest teacher, paraprofessional, and teacher. I taught 1st and 2nd grade Spanish Immersion at Lakeshore Elementary, served as the district K-12 migrant teacher, and taught in the West Ottawa Summer Migrant Program for many years. Additionally, I earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Calvin University. My husband and I live in the West Ottawa community and our oldest son just graduated from West Ottawa. We also have 2 daughters who attend WO. I have a passion for education and learning, building relationships with students and their families, and providing the best educational experience possible for all of our students.

Both my boys go to Pine Creek. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Teachers also do a great job on working together to help the kids succeed.
