Substitute Bus Drivers (#2095)

Training/Education requirements:
Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Group BPS with air brakes Commercial Driver License (CDL) – We will train.

  • Must be able to meet federal and state medical and physical qualification requirements for operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to submit to substance abuse testing and criminal background checks.
  • Hours: Approx 6:00-9:00 a.m. and/or 2:20-5:00 p.m. plus option for additional field/athletic trips
  • Pre-CDL training pay rate: $10/hr
  • Substitute bus driving pay rate: $15/hr
  • Regular bus driving pay rate: $15.09 or more/hr (depending on qualifications and previous experience)

Bus Aide Substitute (#2094)

Hours:
Approx 6:00-9:15 a.m. and/or 1:00-5:00 p.m. including possible mid-day school bus run.

Training/Education Requirements:
Must be willing and able to submit to criminal background checks.

Responsibilities:
While riding in a school bus, monitor and assist students with special needs until released to a teacher, designated school or ISD employee, parent/guardian or responsible adult.
