Waukazoo Elementary, situated just miles from beautiful Lake Michigan, provides high levels of learning for each of our 475+ students. Our staff is highly dedicated and committed to preparing each of our students to become College, Career and Life Ready. We strive, daily, to create a rigorous academic environment while also ensuring systems are in place to meet each child’s academic, social and emotional needs.

West Ottawa Public Schools provides many academic programs and options beginning in kindergarten and extending into middle school and high school. Waukazoo Elementary provides extended learning opportunities through an advanced math placement course, SAIL programming for traditional 3rd – 5th grade students, after school tutoring classes, Panther Pathways, and multiple classrooms that implement Montessori methods. The Montessori program has grown from one 1st-3rd grade Montessori classroom in 2000, to a K-5 program currently housing 9 classrooms with over 170 students.

Student achievement is at the heart of all we do as a staff. We provide common core standards driven curriculum and implement best practices in our classrooms to make certain we are developing 21st century learners. Ongoing professional development for teachers and staff is provided annually to make certain we are providing cutting edge instruction to ensure our students’ achievement. I truly believe you will find West Ottawa Public Schools and Waukazoo Elementary a place you will want your family to call home.

We would love the opportunity to introduce you to our Waukazoo family and answer any questions you may have. We can be reached at 616-786-1800.
