MeetMr. Stefanich

At Harbor Lights, we are dedicated to the middle years.  Middle school students have unique academic, social, and emotional needs. It is our mission to develop students for academic success and to support their growth socially and emotionally in a safe environment.   We serve as the bridge from elementary school to high school.  Ultimately, we are devoted to preparing our students to be ready for college, career, and life.

At Harbor Lights, we offer academically challenging programs. All students can earn high school credits beginning in seventh grade by taking a World Language (Spanish or French) course.  Additionally, we offer advanced coursework in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts. By the time our students leave middle school, they will have had the opportunity to potentially earn up to seven high school credits.

We also offer academic support programs that provide extended opportunities to gain skills in core academic courses. Extended coursework in Math and ELA,  as well as support services for both English language learners and students with learning disabilities, help all of our students achieve at high levels.

Preparedness, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Effort (PRIDE) are the expectations that drive our school culture. We ask students to show PRIDE every day and model these behaviors as well. We believe that building positive relationships motivates students and staff to live up to these expectations. Our commitment to building positive relationships helps provide a safe environment where students are able to grow socially and emotionally.
