Welcome to West Ottawa! We were proud to showcase our Kindergarten programs and enjoyed welcoming families to our annual Kindergarten Showcase on January 15, 2026, from 6–7 PM at each of our elementary buildings, where families had the opportunity to meet their child’s principal and teachers and learn more about our Kindergarten options.

Kindergarten enrollment for the upcoming school year is now open and underway. Families can find additional details and next steps throughout this webpage!

West Ottawa and Ready for School are planning a fantastic summer for incoming Kindergarteners. We need YOUR help.

Enrollment

How do I enroll my student?

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year is now open!

Families that are new to West Ottawa or do not have students enrolled in West Ottawa for the current school year will complete our new family online registration beginning January 10.

Families with students already enrolled in grades K-12 at West Ottawa, will complete the existing student online registration through parent portal. You will register all of your K-12 students for the 26-27 school year by completing the 2026-27 online registration for existing students through parent portal. You will use the add new student button on the student tab of the application to complete the enrollment information for the incoming kindergarten student.

Online registration is the first step to register your student in West Ottawa Public Schools. You will also need to provide the school office with the following documents to complete your child’s registration:

child’s birth certificate,
immunizations records,
health appraisal,
and 1 proof of residency (utility bill, lease/purchase agreement, etc.)

Puede registrar a su estudiante en línea a través del portal de registro.

La inscripción en línea es el primer paso para inscribir a su estudiante en las Escuelas Públicas de West Ottawa. También deberá proveer a la oficina de la escuela los siguientes documentos para completar el registro de su hijo:

registros de inmunizaciones
evaluación de salud
y 1 comprobante de residencia
