2026-2027 West Ottawa Before and After School Programming (BASP)

  • The 2026-27 BASP registration window is currently open for all West Ottawa Elementary locations.    The link to register is provided below.
  • Registration Information has been widely shared via IC Messenger Emails, Texts and in the individual elementary school newsletters.
  • A minimum of 8 registered students per session, per location, is required to operate BASP.  Due to this requirement, placement is not guaranteed, even if you have gone through the registration process.
  • Final site determinations for BASP will be made by July 31, 2026.

BASP has a 3-session weekly minimumDrop-In Style Care is not available. This allows us to maintain the appropriate staff-to-student ratio during each session. Before School Care, After School Care or both sessions are available.

Please note that while registration has been made available for all elementary locations, site availability is dependent on meeting the minimum number registrations required to operate  a BASP site.  Therefore, BASP offerings are not guaranteed at every elementary location.

Availability Updates:

Lakeshore Families: Before and After School Programming has reached capacity.  If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact FarnerC@Westottawa.net.

Great Lakes and Woodside Families: In order to offer both Before and After School Programming, we are consolidating programming to one location.  BASP will take place at Great Lakes Elementary and service both Great Lakes and Woodside families.  Please contact FarnerC@Westottawa.net for further details.

Pine Creek and Sheldon Woods Families: While we will continue accepting registrations through July 31, we believe it is important to be transparent with families. Due to low enrollment numbers, it is possible that BASP services may not be offered at these sites for the 2026–27 school year. A final determination will be made by July 31, and families will be notified as soon as a decision is reached.
