The Business Office manages over $85 million in revenues and expenditures each year. This includes $39 million of payroll, $3.8 million of food service related expenses, $3 million in student transportation, and $1.4 million in utility expenses in addition to much more. Utility Usage Data

District staff and students are committed to reducing electricity, natural gas and water usage in order to be responsible citizens guarding our natural resources and reducing costs to taxpayers. The infographic below highlights key facts about utility usage across all school facilities for the 2017-18 school year. During the 2017-18 school year, staff and students were successful in reducing water usage by 1,945,000 gallons from the previous school year. Also, as of 2018, West Ottawa has 12 Energy Star certified buildings, exemplifying the dedication by the district to reduce the consumption of resources and become more energy efficient.
