Located on the eastern edge of the West Ottawa Public School District, North Holland is a small, family-oriented school that is an outstanding choice in education for families in the Holland, Zeeland, and West Ottawa areas. At North Holland, every member of our community is a learner, from students to staff to parents. With the strong support of our staff, families, and PTC, our children come to school where a lifelong love of learning is fostered and where children learn they can make a difference. Our staff promotes the development of each child while incorporating an understanding of the differences in others.
North Holland’s teachers encourage students to think deeply and take action in their own lives. Through the process of inquiry and engaging activities, students ask questions and develop into responsible and compassionate citizens who care for both their local and global community. Students regularly participate in service projects that benefit both our school and local community.
Serving approximately 280 students from kindergarten through fifth grade, our highly-qualified and exceptional staff provides instruction in reading, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, visual arts, technology, performing arts, and foreign language. Additional student support includes media-enriched classrooms, reading and math assistance, speech and language services, English language development, and special education. Our walls are adorned with student writing and artwork and echo with student music. After-school enrichment includes a variety of activities from Honor’s Choir, Girl Scouts, Bible Club, Total Trek Quest, to Girls on the Run.
