The mission statement at West Ottawa Public Schools is to “preparing students to be college, career and life ready”.  At WOHS, we take this mission statement seriously.  We believe that high school graduation is the starting point or the launch pad into our student’s future, rather than the finish line.  Through coursework, activities and social engagement at WOHS, students will be prepared for the next step after high school.

At our core, West Ottawa High School is about opportunities and access for all students while providing social, emotional and academic support.  WOHS prides itself on offering countless advanced coursework opportunities such as AP, IB, PLTW, targeted electives, and much more.  Additionally, we feel it is critical that students connect to the school through the endless extra-curricular happenings.

Graduation rates at West Ottawa High School (95%) far outpace those of peer schools around the state. For the past ten years, WOHS has been named a US News Best High School.  The Niche report lists West Ottawa High School as the best public high school in Ottawa County.  Recently, WOHS was recognized as a PLC Model School.  Due to the hard work of our teachers and students, these are just a couple examples of many accolades earned at WOHS.  Please contact us to begin enrolling your student today to be a part of our incredible community!

As always, Go WO!
