VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

You can help out in so many ways - big and small- depending on your life schedule. We are happy to have you volunteer once a year, once a month, or once a week. There are many opportunities available for you. We need help planning and staffing events, running events, making phone calls, community contacts, and much more. Please contact one of the Officers for more information.

Why a PTC?

At North Holand we have a PTC instead of a PTA. We wanted our organization to be FREE for all parents to join. PTA's require membership dues.

What does the PTC do?

We plan activities for the North Holland students. These activities enhance their educational experience, help promote family involvement, and promote a fun learning environment for our students and teachers.

How does the PTC earn money?

Some of the ways we raise money are:

Walk-A-Thon

What is the money for?

The money we raise goes towards the cost of:

Ice Cream Social –

Kick-off the new school year and get acquainted with your child’s teacher, classroom, and up-coming PTC events.

Donuts for Grownups –

Come and share coffee, juice, and donuts with your children, teachers, and staff.

Classroom field trips and bussing

Library books

Playground equipment

School assemblies

Teacher appreciation events

RULES OF THE CLUB

1. All moms and dads are free to join! - Everyone involved with a North Holland student can join the PTC

2. Everyone can help around our Clubhouse! - We need parents for classroom helpers, reading partners, and teacher support.

3. Be willing to go on fun adventures! - Chaperoning and volunteering for school field trips is one of the perks of our club.

4. Most important - HAVE FUN!! - We all know the importance of being young. It's proven that children whose families are involved in the school do better in school.
