Kids Healing Kids

Kids Healing Kids® is a volunteer choir of students in third, fourth, and fifth grade from West Ottawa Public Schools in Holland, Michigan. Kids Healing Kids choir sings to make a difference in the lives of children having to deal with the everyday burdens of illness. We make videos for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, offering hope and encouragement. These videos are distributed free of charge upon request, to hospitals and individuals all over the world.

Kids Healing Kids is a nonprofit organization. We are able to distribute videos for free because of the generosity of the community and local businesses, who donate funds and services to us. All donations are tax deductible. All businesses and persons donating are advertised as being a sponsor on our video.

  • Allegan-Ottawa County Group Award for Volunteerism (1995)
  • The Governor's Community Service Award as an Exemplary Youth Organization in the state (1995)
  • The Points of Light Citation -- from the Points of Light Foundation and President Clinton (One of 28 Nationwide) (1996)
  • The Meijer Monument Award (for which they were featured in a commercial on FOX-TV) (1997)
  • The Herman Coleman Award -- from the Michigan Education Association (1996)
  • National Communicator Award for Film (1997)
  • Life Savers® Take A Bigger Role Awards Finalist (1996)
  • Golden Hive Award from Holland Community Hospital (1998)
