Michigan E-Library Project

The Michigan e-Library Project is a statewide Library of Michigan project (formerly called Access Michigan) that provides free access to Michigan residents to several commercial databases. Passwords are required to access the databases from a remote (outside of a library) location.

These passwords are available at all of the West Ottawa school libraries.

InfoTrac
InfoTrac consists of over 40 databases.   Included are many general and also topic specific databases, on a variety of levels from elementary to college research.   Magazines, newspapers, books and various multimedia sources are all indexed, with most having full-text articles.

FirstSearch
FirstSearch includes 27 databases. Many are only indexes and do not have full-text articles. Full-text databases include WilsonSelect (1400 magazines and newspapers), World Almanac, World Book Encyclopedia (international version, text only), and Business and Industry (600 magazines)..

NetLibrary - ebooks
Over 160,000 full-text books, mainly secondary level non-fiction, are available to browse or check out (6 hour maximum). One time registration is required at a school or public library prior to use at home.

LearnA Test
LearnA Test is a test preparation site providing a wide variety of tests. Sample tests available include SAT, ACT, PPST, GED, graduate school, grade level tests, military, civil service, and many more.
