Career Cruising and Your Educational Development Plan (EDP)

Seminar Credit

The following criteria need to be complete by May 3 for seminar credit. If you choose not to do your Educational Development Plan (EDP), you will lose your .5 credit for seminar (see pages 28-29 in the student handbook).

9th Grade (or 1st Year High School)

Complete Career Matchmaker

  • Click on purple "Matchmaker" button on top
  • Complete Matchmaker
  • If you have already completed one Matchmaker session, click on the blue "Assessment Results" button to view your results.
  • Click on grey "Go To Career Matchmaker" button, then click on blue "Answer More Questions to Improve My Results" button to refine your results.)
  • Save results to EDP (look for the "Save to my EDP" gray button).

Find Careers That Interest You (save at least 1 to your EDP)

  • You may save the careers that interest you to your EDP by using your Matchmaker results or by using the purple career tab at the top of the page.
  • Save results to EDP (look for the "Save to my EDP" gray button).

Short and Long Term Goals

  • Click on blue "Career Preparation" button. Then click on "Career and Life Goals" and follow the instructions.
  • Save results to EDP.

10th Grade (or 2nd Year High School)

12th Grade (or 4th Year High School)

  • Click on blue "Career Preparation" button. Then click on "Post-Secondary Plan" button and follow the instructions.
  • Save results to EDP.
